Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı Başkanı Mehmet Beşir Şimşek, burada yaptığı konuşmada, Mevlid-i Nebi Haftası'nın birlik ve kardeşliğe vesile olmasını diledi. Şimşek, İslam dünyasının yaşadığı sorunların temelinde bir olmaktan uzaklaşmanın bulunduğunu anlattı. Çözümün Kur'an-ı Kerim'e yönelmek ve Peygamber’in sünnetine sarılmak olduğunu dile getiren Şimşek, şunları kaydetti: "Fatihler bu memleketleri nasıl fethetti? Kürt'ü, Türk'ü, Arap'ıyla omuz omuza cephelerde oldukları zaman Fetihler gerçekleştirdiler. Malazgirt ruhuyla, Çanakkale ruhuyla ne muhteşem zaferlere imza attı ecdadımız. O ruh neydi? O ruh Kur'ani bir ruhtu. O ruh, İslami bir ruhtu. Peygamber Efendimize tabi olmanın beraberinde getirdiği güçtü. Demek ki biz vahdet içerisinde olduğumuz zaman izzetli olmuşuzdur. Müslüman, Müslüman'ın ancak kardeşi olur. Ona sırt çeviremez, onu düşmanına teslim edemez. Mezhebini öne çıkarıp onu yalnız bırakamaz. Irkını, coğrafyasını sebep göstererek, onu düşmana teslim edemez. Biz, bunu başaramadığımız müddetçe Gazzeler, İranlar, Lübnanlar, Sudanlar, Afganistanlar, Türkistanlar bitmez." Programa bazı siyasi parti ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının temsilcileri, kanaat önderleri ile çok sayıda kişi katıldı. Türkçe, Kürtçe ve Arapça ilahilerin okunduğu etkinlik dua edilmesinin ardından tamamlandı.
