hem de kuru üzüm üretiminde büyük bir paya sahip. Bölgede çok sayıda çiftçi de geçimini üzüm üretimiyle sağlıyor. Ürünlerin verim ve kalitesini doğrudan etkileyen hava olayları, çiftçileri tedbirli olmaya yönlendiriyor. Üreticiler, küresel iklim değişikliğine bağlı sıcaklıklar, dolu ya da don gibi ani hava olaylarına karşı çeşitli yöntemler kullanıyor. Sarıgöl Ziraat Odası Başkanı Ali İhsan Ülgen, AA muhabirine, ilçede 130 bin dönüm alanda üzüm yetiştirildiğini söyledi. Son yıllarda etkili olan olumsuz hava olayları nedeniyle bağların örtü altına alınmaya başladığını ifade eden Ülgen, yaklaşık 3 bin dönümlük alanın örtüyle kaplandığını dile getirdi. Ülgen, örtü altına almak için "dolu tülü" yöntemini kullandıklarını belirterek, tülün saydam bir yapıya sahip olduğunu, dolu, don ve aşırı sıcağa karşı koruma sağladığını anlattı. Yazın hava sıcaklığının 40-50 dereceyi bulduğuna dikkati çeken Ülgen, "Üzüm yanıyor. Güneşi azaltıyor, afetten koruyor. Daha kaliteli üzüm elde edilmesini sağlıyor. Dondan da koruyor. Geçen sene don oldu, örtü olan yerler kurtuldu. Onun için biz bunu yapmak zorundayız." dedi. Ülgen, ürünlerin yaklaşık yüzde 65'inin ihracata gittiğini kaydederek, "Sezon şu an çok olumlu gidiyor. İhracatın büyük çoğunluğunu bölgemiz yapıyor. Ağırlıklı olarak Avrupa ve Rusya'ya ihracat yapıyoruz." diye konuştu. Dolu tülü sisteminin ömrüne de değinen Ülgen, örtülerin ortalama 4-5 yıl kullanılabildiğini, her sezon sonunda bakım ve toplama işlemi yapıldığını sözlerine ekledi. Emcelli Mahallesi'nde yaşayan üreticilerden Bülent Karaoğlan da son yıllarda artan afetler nedeniyle önlem almak zorunda kaldıklarını anlattı. Tülün, asmaların daha hızlı gelişmesini sağladığını, güneşi kırarak yakıcı etkisini azalttığını belirten Karaoğlan, "Üzüm yanmadığı için raf ömrü uzuyor. Satımı da alanlar için daha iyi. Dolu yağdığında tül olmazsa ürün tamamen zarar görebiliyor." şeklinde konuştu.
