أعلنت وزارة الأشغال العامة والاسكان إغلاق الطريق الملوكي احترازيًا في منطقة اللعبان، وذلك إثر فيضان سد شيظم وتسببه بانجراف في جسم الطريق.

وجاء هذا القرار بالتنسيق مع محافظ الطفيلة، الدكتور سلطان الماضي، والجهات المعنية، حفاظًا على سلامة المواطنين ومستخدمي الطريق، وذلك بعد تقييم الأضرار الناجمة عن الفيضان.

وتشير التقارير الأولية إلى أن كميات كبيرة من المياه تدفقت من سد شيظم، مما أدى إلى حدوث انجرافات في أجزاء من الطريق الملوكي، مما يشكل خطرًا على حركة المرور.

وقد باشرت فرق الصيانة والجهات المعنية العمل على تقييم الأضرار وإصلاح الأجزاء المتضررة من الطريق، تمهيدًا لإعادة فتحه أمام حركة المرور في أقرب وقت ممكن.

وتُهيب الوزارة بالإخوة المواطنين وسائقي المركبات بضرورة توخي الحيطة والحذر، والالتزام بالتعليمات الصادرة عن الجهات الأمنية، واستخدام الطرق البديلة المتاحة حتى يتم الانتهاء من أعمال الإصلاح وإعادة فتح الطريق الملوكي.
