katılımcıları, programın sona ermesinin ardından AP'nin bulunduğu Lüksemburg meydanına yürüdü. Meydanda "Özgür Filistin" sloganları atarak, protesto düzenleyen katılımcılar, AB'ye İsrail'e yönelik politikasını değiştirme çağrısında bulundu. AP'nin Belçikalı üyesi Marc Botenga, AB'nin İsrail ile Ortaklık Anlaşması'nı askıya almama kararını eleştirerek, bunun "ciddi bir siyasi tercih" olduğunu söyledi. AB’nin çifte standart uyguladığını aktaran Botenga, bir yandan Rusya’ya yönelik yeni yaptırım paketleri hazırlayıp, İran’a ek yaptırımlar getirildiğini, diğer yandan İsrail’e karşı benzer adımların atılmadığını vurguladı. Avrupa’daki yönetimlerle halklar arasındaki farkın giderek açıldığını dile getiren Botenga, kamuoyunun bu çelişkileri daha fazla fark ettiğini ve bunun siyasi baskıyı artırdığını belirtti. Botenga, Filistin’e destek veren hareketlere yönelik baskıcı politikaların ise siyasi aktörlerin duyduğu endişenin bir göstergesi olduğunu savunarak, "Bu korku aynı zamanda umut doğuruyor. Bu mücadele uzun sürebilir ancak sonunda kazanılacaktır." ifadesini kullandı. AP'nin Filistin asıllı Fransız milletvekili Rima Hassan da söz konusu anlaşmanın askıya alınması talebinin yeni olmadığını, uzun yıllardır sivil toplum kuruluşları tarafından talep edildiğini hatırlattı. İsrail’in işgal, yerleşim ve "apartheid" politikalarının bu çağrıların temelini oluşturduğunu ifade eden Hassan, bu meselenin tarihsel boyutunun göz ardı edilmemesi gerektiğini vurguladı. AB kurumlarının 1 milyonun üzerinde imzayla desteklenen çağrılara rağmen adım atmamasını eleştiren Hassan, bunun demokratik taleplerin karşılık bulmadığını gösterdiğini dile getirdi. Filistin’e destek veren kesimlere de seslenen Hassan, Avrupa’da bu konuda mücadele edenlerin "tarihin doğru tarafında" olduğunu ifade etti. İtalyan vekil Benedetta Scuderi de Filistin’e destek veren çok sayıda kişinin protestolara katıldığını, hatta bu süreçte polis müdahalesi ve çeşitli yaptırımlarla karşı karşıya kalma riskini göze aldığını aktardı. Gazze’ye yönelik insani yardım girişimlerine katılan sivil inisiyatiflerin de büyük riskler aldığını vurgulayan Scuderi, "Bu durum, halkların kurumlara kıyasla çok daha cesur olduğunu gösteriyor." dedi. AB'nin İsrail ile yaptığı anlaşmalarda insan hakları ihlali durumunda askıya alma maddesi bulunduğunu hatırlatan Scuderi, buna rağmen bu hükümlerin uygulanmadığını belirterek, "Kurumlar, kendi koydukları kurallara dahi uymuyor." değerlendirmesinde bulundu. AP'de İsrail’in politikalarının yeterince tartışılmadığını ifade eden Scuderi, özellikle Filistinlilere yönelik uygulamaların gündeme getirilmesinden kaçınıldığını kaydetti.
