kapsamında Çanakkale'ye gelen Avustralyalı ve Yeni Zelandalılardan oluşan grup, gece saatlerinde kent merkezinden Tarihi Gelibolu Yarımadası'na geçti. Servis araçlarıyla Anzak Koyu'ndaki tören alanına ulaşan Anzak torunları, geleneksel "Şafak Ayini"nin saatini uyku tulumları ve battaniyeler içinde bekledi. Katılımcılar, bu sırada, tören alanındaki dev ekrandan Çanakkale Savaşları ile ilgili belgeseli izledi. Törenlere Avustralya'nın Adelaide kentinden katılan Jennifer Olver, ayini beklerken AA muhabirine yaptığı değerlendirmede, "Buraya gelmek, çoğu Avustralyalının hayatında bir kere yapmak istediği bir şey." dedi. Glass, ayini beklerken uyku tulumları ve battaniyelerle beklemenin, atalarının maruz kaldığı şartları görmek açısından empati kurmasına yardımcı olduğunu ifade etti. Anzak, Avustralya ve Yeni Zelanda Kolordusu (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) kelimelerinin ilk harflerinin kısaltılmasından oluşuyor. Anzak Günü ise Avustralyalı ve Yeni Zelandalı askerlerin 25 Nisan 1915'te Gelibolu'da karaya çıkışının yıl dönümü olarak anılıyor.
